Location: Western Kenya, covering 18 counties (Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Nyamira, Kisii, Migori, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Siaya, Kakamega Bungoma, Busia, Vihiga, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nakuru and West Pokot

Purpose: To empower farmers to adapt biotechnology and bioscience in agricultural production for enhanced food security, employment creation and income generation, particularly for the youth and the associated households for sustainable livelihood

Brief: This program is about practical transfer of knowledge on biological technologies and biosciences for enhanced productivity and sustainable utilization of resources. The program focuses on transfer of biotechnology and bioscience research outcomes to farmers in agricultural production chain, food security, employment creation, income generation, environmental conservation and climate change adaptation, particularly the unemployed young Kenyans and associated rural households to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relating to agricultural value chain development

Project Location: Nandi County

Purpose: To provide safe drinking water and Sanitation services and build socio-economic awareness while building entrepreneurial growth for the community

Brief:  Detailed design, implementation of the integrated Kapchemosin water supply, sanitation and agriculture project in Kapsoa sub-location and the surrounding community

EST project Cost: 25,000,000

Location: Winam Gulf (Kenyan Portion of Lake Victoria)

Purpose: To improve economic and social well-being of communities living around Lake Victoria through conservation of its catchment area

Brief: This project is aimed at restocking of the Kenyan portion of Lake Victoria with tilapia and catfish fingerlings, promotion of commercial aquaculture through the development of cage culture, participatory stakeholder catchment management through reaforestation of degraded water towers and riparian areas, the establishment of a regional ecological laboratory and to carry out a social Environmental Impact Assesment (SEIA)

Programme Location: Lower Nzoia, Lower Yala, Lower Sondu Miriu and Nyando River Basins in Bungoma, Busia, Siaya, Kisii, Nyamira, Kisumu, Homa-Bay, and Migori Counties

Purpose: The main purpose of this programme is to sustainably enhance livelihood and food security among the youth and women by improving the performance of irrigation schemes, food production and marketing infrastructure, as well as improving environmental and natural resource management

Brief:

Location: 6 schools in each of the 18 counties within the Lake Victoria Basin, Kenya

Purpose: Improving the livelihood and welfare of the LVB communities, coupled with enhancing educational performance in schools served with the water resource development infrastructure

Brief: The programme involved conducting a comprehensive feasibility study and design for the proposed WASH system. Development and implementation of 108 customised integrated solar based water resource system. Further training and sensitization of the community
